His Perfect Story.

Image
"It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." A phrase that has now become sacred words to me.  Oh what a fearful thing this is.  Putting everything into the hands of the Living God.  There came a moment where i was sitting in MLC. For a moment I had these pictures running through my mind of everything that had happened in my life to get me sat in that chair. Sitting amoung fellow servants of the Lord. Discussing the work of the Almighty God.  The joy. The sadness. The accomplishments. The failures.  The love.  The heartbreak.  All of it.  You know, "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." At times it is fear that holds us back from God's greatest miracles.  I've seen that.  At times i still fear.  Over the last 11 months everything that i have ever planned for my life has changed.  Nothing has gone to my plan.  And that scares me.  But, i think there is a lesson to be lear...

The Covenant Of Love.

Image
What a joyous week it has been! The spirit has filled my heart and soul with so much light and love. As the weeks go by, my love for this work grows more and more. The weight seems to be so present as i go out and see so many who need the message of safety and security. I just want them all to be enveloped in the arms of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ!  Covenants have struck me in a whole new way this week. Never before have i been so aware of the covenants I have made. I'm so grateful for that bond. The thought of being forever bound to my Heavenly Father and Saviour is priceless. How could i not want to do everything and anything to help my brothers and sisters have that same bond? I began to think of the covenant as a yoke. As Christ says, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden i...

"They Shall Prosper That Love Thee."

And there it goes! I'm in a new place with new people and a new companion! My heart is full of love! I just love being a missionary  Preston is so beautiful.  I'm surrounded by green and hills.  The people are lovely and have the most beautiful stories of change.  I absolutely adore my new companion Sister Rasmussen. She is strong and diligent! I feel so blessed that the Lord has allowed our paths to cross for a small moment!  This area is different than all the others i have served in. I've been able to really think about what the Lord needs me to do here.  As i was studying the Book of Mormon this week i recognised a trend that i never have before.  Throughout the Book of Mormon we read about these weak places. These places of struggle, hurt, and war. At times these people didn't know what else to do, no where else to turn.  But, despite it all, we see within every weak place the Lord grants an opportunity for change. And all it took was one. On...

My Choice To Change

Image
This week i turned 20! I cant even believe it!  On my birthday i had a moment where i was just laying on the floor thinking. I started thinking about what i have learned over the course of my life. I started playing back a lot of moment in my head of where i learned these lessons.  There was two thing that all of these moments had in common. And that is they are made up of choices and change.  The importance of choices has been something that quite fruquently crosses my mind. I think its because each day my schedule is based on the choices of others.  But, that day on the floor i began thinking about my choices.  More so my choice to change.  There were many choices before my mission that initiated change. Whether it was because i chose to or not, the change still came. And it led me to this place.  I'm 20. In a foreign country. Surround by strangers. Inviting people to choose Jesus Christ.  Its the greatest choice i have made. And it has changed ...

The Miracle Of The Fast

Image
As we arrived at this sisters friends house for a lesson we knocked on the door and there was no response. We decided that instead of standing around waiting for them to answer it would be more beneficial to walk around the area and do some street contacting. We prayed and began walking down this road. As we got down to the end i looked over at this door to this house that was open. Sitting inside the door was a lady sitting on the couch. We made eye contact and we walked away.  I remembered the conversation i had just had with this sweet sister about the importance of listening and acting on every spiritual prompting. We talked about how there are moments where we will be scared or wont want to do certain things, but it doesnt matter because it is what the Saviour would do.  I stopped in the middle of the road and looked over to this sister and told her that we needed to go back. She then said she felt the same way.  We headed back to this open door and began talking to ...

His Footsteps

A road walked before me.  A life lived before mine.  The same pain felt.  Because of the love he has for me.  It hit me this week.  The magnitude of the sacrifice.  I love teaching the atonement.  The longer i am out the more i realise how much it means to me.  What means the most to me about it all is how personal it is to each individual.  Everything about it is perfect.  Thinking about jesus christ on his knees thinking of me and seeing and feeling everything i would go through brings me so much comfort.  And now i walk in his footsteps.  Getting to stand in the place of Jesus Christ is so special. I continue to become so humbled at the fact that he trusts such imperfect people to accomplish this work.  It was a week of major stretching a relying. It seemed to be that i was saying a repentance prayer every 20 minutes. There were days that the natural man was stronger than others. But, he still made the most of what i wa...
