His Footsteps

A road walked before me. 
A life lived before mine. 
The same pain felt. 
Because of the love he has for me. 

It hit me this week. 
The magnitude of the sacrifice. 

I love teaching the atonement. 
The longer i am out the more i realise how much it means to me. 
What means the most to me about it all is how personal it is to each individual. 
Everything about it is perfect. 

Thinking about jesus christ on his knees thinking of me and seeing and feeling everything i would go through brings me so much comfort. 
And now i walk in his footsteps. 

Getting to stand in the place of Jesus Christ is so special. I continue to become so humbled at the fact that he trusts such imperfect people to accomplish this work. 

It was a week of major stretching a relying. It seemed to be that i was saying a repentance prayer every 20 minutes. There were days that the natural man was stronger than others. But, he still made the most of what i was able to give. And i continued walking. Trying to realign with his steps. 

There was a day of miracles. 
A day that i needed. 
Its the day i felt the atonement work the most. 

I woke up absolutely exhausted from an exchange i went on this week. I could barely stay awake for my studies. I hadnt washed my hair in like 5 days. It was rough. 
I was praying so hard that the lord would help me get through this day. I prayed that he would magnify everything i was able to give. 

We walked trying to keep our heads up high. As we walked up the stairs in the cafe we said hi to this lovely lady called Tracey. Before we knew it she was telling us how her phone was getting repaired and she didnt know what do with herself. We then started asking her about her relationship with jesus christ and she answered with, "if Jesus Christ was real why are all these bad things happening?" 
We began teaching her about him and her heart began to soften.
We had a couple things we needed to plan for and so we asked her if she would read a chapter in the Book of Mormon about jesus christ healing. Not long after she came and sat by us with a smile on her face and she said, "I get it now! Bad things dont happen because of Jesus Christ, we get through them because of him." "He is more than just person. He is so kind and loving." Tracey is special. She is so prepared for the gospel. She couldnt stop expressing the joy she felt as she learned who jesus christ is! 

Later on that day we headed to the library. We sat down and as we looked up this man came up to the table and said, "teach me about god." For the next 30 minutes we sat together and shared the story of Joseph Smith. We got to know each other. We shared our struggles and hardships with each other. We were able to bear testimony of the truthfulness of the restored gospel of jesus christ and how it has brought us out of our low places. And he wants to learn more!

Getting to teach our friend Jon & Yogesh about jesus christ filled my heart. Getting to see jesus christ become real for them was the most rewarding thing. 

Tear filled my eyes as i watched Jon walk into the chapel for church. He is so elect. And ready to change his life to become like our Saviour. 

This week became a week i will never forget. I have learned that when you humbly place your trust and time in the hands of the lord he will astonish you. He never fails to deliever mighty miracles! 

This song struck me this week. 
I related to it big time.

I want to give the lord everything i have. My thoughts, words, and actions! And i am trying my best each and everyday. And i truly see that he is making me more than i could ever be on my own! I love my mission, it has truly been a dream. Everything i could ever hope for has come true. And i cant wait to see how the lord continues to help me grow, overcome the hard, and heal my heart!

It was another beautiful week.  I feel like Heavenly Father is being so gracious to me, especially right now.  I feel that he is giving me so many opportunities to experience him.  The grace that is being extended each day is so much more apparent than it has been before.  Maybe because i feel like he is refining me more than he ever has before.  I feel that lately Heavenly Father has been reminding me of my journey through bringing to my remembrance the many times his grace has shined through and saved me.  A fresh start.  No tracks behind but rather a beautiful path ahead.  I often wonder how this has all been made possible.  How one who was so obliviously lost and broken could be transformed.  How could it be possible?  Why is there someone who cares so deeply for us to change?  How is he so aware even when we arent?  My learning this week began with the women at the well.  A story i often turn to for reassurance....

Encircled.

It all began that morning at the train station.  As I sat and read about the journey I have been on the last 16 months.  Looking at that grey sky i have become so familiar with.  Listening to the birds sing.  I saw the bare trees as the moved with the subtle wind.  In that moment His love became tangible.  I became encircled.  In the arms of his love.  I have grown the greatest love for each and every day. Every moment is so sacred to me.  As i read those stories in my book i began to realise he has been here all along.  Leading me with his arms. His love filling my soul. Allowing me to move forward.  Each morning and night this last week i have pled with the Lord to give me opportunities to be refined.
