Sister B. Makes Her World Tour Around The England Machester Mission!!!

Hiiyaa!!!
I hope all of you are enjoying the Christmas season!!
Sooo much to catch everyone up on from the last 2 weeks! Not getting a Pday for 2 weeks is a little bit rough but its okay, we still carry on!
So many amazing moments over the last 2 weeks! England is still golden and the work is still poppin!

4 Christmas concerts all over the mission in 4 days!!!
Sister Phelan had the pleasure of singing in our cute missionary choir! The concert was so amazing and the spirit was so strong! But, i think the greatest thing of it all was that i got to see all the cutie sisters that i came in with!! And best of all is that i got to hang out with Sister Hanks 4 days in a row!! I ABSOLUTELY ADORE SISTER HANKS!! She is seriously one of my bestest of friends so any moment we get to hug & catch up is just the best! Definitely the highlight of my week!

3 Exchanges, kicked my booty...
That's right folks I'm just making an appearance in all the areas of the mish haha. This week i got to go to ManSouth and Liverpool!! I seriously had a blast! We have so many amazing missionaries and I feel so blessed that I have gotten the opportunity to learn from so many of them!

ManSouth w/ cutie Sister Randle!
I adore Sister Randle! She was my STL last transfer and she seriousky helped me change the whole trajectory of my mission! It was her last week in the field and i feel so blessed that i got to learn from her one last time! Here were the highlights of the 2 days...
- Talking to John from Ohio for 30 minutes about how amazing the gospel is! He's so golden!
- Knocking doors and having an amazing conversation with this sweet Muslim lady!
- Getting to study the scriptures with Sister Randle and find patterns!
- Getting a surprise meal appointment after 15 minutes from coming from a meal appointment...lets just say me and the toilet became bffs...this is the worst part of being a missionary...
- Getting all the final tips and tricks from Sister Randle!!
I LOVE HER!!!

LIVERPOOL IS THE PLACE TO BE!!!
Okay I LOVE LIVERPOOL!! It is seriously a gold mine! I got to go whiteboarding which is so fun! You have some of the coolest conversations with people! I also was able to have such a cool experience that I'll never forget!
As I was out whiteboarding this man really stood out to me. I knew I needed to talk to him despite him being in a rush. As I stopped him I asked him how he was celebrating Christmas this year and he answered with, "Well you would be disappointed if I told you that one." I proceeded to ask why and he went on to tell me some of the struggles he had been going through the last couple months, one including his dad just passing away a few days before. As a missionary your heart starts pumping fast when you realize that something they said relates to a gospel truth, in that moment I knew exactly why I needed to stop him. As he was talking he kept saying that he wasn't religious and had no desire to be because his faith could never be strong enough. In that moment I stopped him and asked, "What would you do if you could see your dad one last time?" He was so taken back in fact he had no idea what to say. He proceeded to start listing things he would give up and things he would start doing and not doing. I stopped him again and said, "What if I told you you didn't have to give up anything to see your dad again?" He was shocked. I proceeded to bear testimony that he was going to see his dad again because heavenly father loves him so much. "His love is eternal" I said. "He would never take away someone you love so much and expect you to never see them again." The man started to cry.
We went on and continued to talk. At this moment in time he wasn't interested in learning more but, it didn't matter because I left him with a truth and hope that he will be able to hold onto forever. This is a moment I will forever remember. This is a moment where as I listened to the promptings of the spirit and relied on my Saviour the words of what this man needed to hear filled my heart and mouth. God wants all of his sheep and what an honor it is that we get to help bring them back. TEACHING WHILE YOU FIND IS THE WAY TO FIND THOSE WHO ARE READY FOR HIM!!!! Don't miss out on that opportunity to bring truth into the lives of his children!!

The moments where the yellow dots become green!!
There's nothing better than when you are finally able to meet with a new friend especially when they refer themselves! This week we had the opportunity to meet with our friend Nii Dodoo! He is from Ghana and has many health struggles. But, it has been through those struggles that he has been able to learn that he has a purpose here on earth. The lesson we has with him went absolutely amazing! I have never handed someone the Book of Mormon and they take it with such excitement and willingness! Nii's faith and desire to learn is what makes missionary work so exciting. I have the strongest feeling that he is going progress quickly. He's so ready!! I love how God places people so strategically in our paths! He is so good to us!

Spiritual Thought:
Ive been studying hope recently and i found a talk that is just lovely by Uchtdorf called, "The Infinite Power Of Hope." Uchdorf explains hope so perfectly! Here are some points I loved from the talk!
"Hope is not knowledge, but rather the abiding trust that the Lord will fulfill His promise to us. It is confidence that if we live according to God’s laws and the words of His prophets now, we will receive desired blessings in the future. It is believing and expecting that our prayers will be answered. It is manifest in confidence, optimism, enthusiasm, and patient perseverance."
"Hope is critical to both faith and charity. When disobedience, disappointment, and procrastination erode faith, hope is there to uphold our faith. When frustration and impatience challenge charity, hope braces our resolve and urges us to care for our fellowmen even without expectation of reward. The brighter our hope, the greater our faith. The stronger our hope, the purer our charity. The things we hope for lead us to faith, while the things we hope in lead us to charity. The three qualities—faith, hope, and charity—working together, grounded on the truth and light of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, lead us to abound in good works."

I love these points of hope, faith, and charity! These are some attributes that i have really been trying to develop while being a missionary. To be so honest i have had a really hard time! But man have i seen the changes in my attitude and day to day action as i have earnestly prayed for them! I encourage you all to study and look into these attributes this week, it will change you!!
Heres the link to the talk, give it a listen!!

This week was hard just like I mentioned above. There were so many moments where I had to get on my knees and plead for forgiveness because my offerings to the Lord were not as good as I wanted. Remembering that I'm still a learner is the hardest thing to wrap my head around. But despite all of that, being a missionary is so rewarding! Im so grateful for the lessons I learned this week! Growing pains are painful but when I feel them I know I'm getting stronger!

I love you all so much!! Merry merry Christmas from England to wherever you all are in the world!! So much love and hugs for all you lovely people!!

With a happy smile,
Sister B.
