Encircled.
It all began that morning at the train station.
As I sat and read about the journey I have been on the last 16 months.
Looking at that grey sky i have become so familiar with.
Listening to the birds sing.
I saw the bare trees as the moved with the subtle wind.
In that moment His love became tangible.
I became encircled.
In the arms of his love.
I have grown the greatest love for each and every day.
Every moment is so sacred to me.
As i read those stories in my book i began to realise he has been here all along.
Leading me with his arms.
His love filling my soul.
Allowing me to move forward.
Each morning and night this last week i have pled with the Lord to give me opportunities to be refined. Asking this is not easy as opportunities arise that are stretching and truly point out my need for the Saviours help.
There were many moments this week where i gained an appreciation for the atonement. I found myself during many moments of the day saying prayers of repentance.
I was amazed at how quickly Heavenly Father forgave me and straight away opened another opportunity for me to try again. I guess it opened my eyes to truly see that the Saviour is working along side us. When we fall he instantly picks us up. All we have to do it reach up.
And encircles us.
In the arms of his love.
His love continued to encircle me as i witness these miracles with our friends. There are 3 i would love to share with you.
One Monday last transfer, Sister Moli and I had just finished weekly planning. As we were leaving the chapel we saw this young man and his friend. We started talking to him and discussing more about church. He expressed that he just lived down the road and he would love to come.
After days of trying to get in contact with him he sent us a message expressing that he wasnt in the greatest spot to meet at this time but when he was ready he would reach out.
We decided to send him one last scripture.
Ether 12:27.
On thursday night I saw a message come up. It was Bismark! And he said the following,
"Hi happy new year. I am really sorry I haven't been responding lately to your messages. Just that I am going through a tough time right now with the immigration. It's really difficult time for me. I wish u could pray for me during this period. I read the passage u sent to me ether 12:27. The passage was good for me. But I have never heard of the book of ether in the Bible. Could you help enlighten me about it. I have had a lot to do these days so i couldn't have time for a video call. But I can create time tomorrow for one. It's my first time hearing about the book of Mormon. I would like to learn more about it."
I couldnt believe it.
The power of one verse.
As we taught him about the Book of Mormon he was amazed. His connection to the words pulled him in and he desired more.
"I can come to the church tomorrow to get the book." He says.
We met him and were able to give him a chapel tour.
His eyes light up as he enter this holy place. It seemed as though he felt like he was home. As he walked up and down the chapel he couldnt contain his excitement.
As we approached the baptismal font he expressed that he has never been baptised because he had a difficult time understanding why infants had to be baptised. We were able to explain and teach him. And he said, "i would love to get baptised."
My heart rejoiced.
As we walked into the church yesterday at 9:15 am our friend walked out of the chapel and greeted us and said, "im going back in to listen."
The Saviour knows him.
Just because of a simple scripture.
The Lord truly works with everything and everyone. By small and simple things, great things truly do come. No effort is wasted.
There was a day in December that Sister Moli and I had 3 minutes to find. We prayed that the Lord would allow us to meet someone would was prepared to be baptised. As we opened our eyes we turned to see this girl. We instantly stopped her and began teaching her about Jesus Christ.
"Where can i learn more about this?" She said.
Snigdha was born a Hindu. She had never heard of Jesus Christ until she moved to the UK just about a year ago.
Over the last 2 months Snigdha has received a witness that these things are true. As she now is praying and reading the book of mormon daily. She loves Jesus Christ. She knows he knows her.
On Saturday we were able to invite Snigdha to be baptised.
The expression on her face was priceless.
She is a miracle.
One whom i will never forget.
As she closed with a prayer she said, "thank you that i get the opportunity to be baptised and be cleaned forever."
On that cold day 2 months ago.
The lord answered our short prayer.
He delievers. He always does. All we need to do is ask and act.
Andrew was a miracle that we received over the 2 weeks we were in the flat. As we shared the book of mormon with him he him he has known that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. He would do anything for that book. He often says, "why does the world not know about this?" "I dont even need to ask god if its true i just know. I know its true and i know joseph smith is true."
Andrew and his Family have recently moved here from Birmingham. Their journey hasnt been easy as the work visa that Andrew came with has failed to provide him with a job. Right now the company is only providing his wife with 3 hours of work per day.
Because of this Andrew has only been able to bring himself every other week to church.
His story broke my heart. I have been humbled as he expresses how he knows if he just continues to learn that the lord will provide him with a job just so his family will have enough money to come to church.
We prayed about a member we could bring to his lesson this week. We were going to be teaching his whole family for the first time.
We chose a member and it was meant to be.
This members family comes from the same state in the country he is from.
The member came to this country with the same work visia as andrew.
His testimony change the trajectory of the lesson.
The member then proceeded to help andrew get set up with a job after our lesson. As the member continued to get to know andrew he realised that this family had no food in their house. So our member pack them all in his car and drove them to the shops to buy groceries for them.
Because of this service, Andrew was able to have enough money for a 2 way ticket to church.
"I knew the lord would provide a way. He always does."
I am amazed at the service of this dear member. We truly cant do it without them. This is what the gospel is all about.
This week has been quite difficult.
At times i feel like my head is spinning.
I have been experiencing so many emotions.
Everything is now becoming a reality!
And its hard.
But, one thing is for certain
"I am encircled about eternally in the arms of his love."
I love you all.
I pray for you daily.
Experience his love.
With love,
