"For With God Nothing Shall Be Impossible."

I often think about the weight that filled Mary's heart as she received the news that she would be bearing a child who would save the world.

"How shall this be..."

We often ask ourselves the same question.
There are moments where God requires so much. At times it may seem impossible believe that we could fulfill such things.

But, we see a higher faith in Mary.

Maybe its because she had experience God before.
She understood this higher love and trust that he has for his children.

She allowed this weight to carry her forward.

"Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word."

She truly understood the concept of seeking and expecting miracles.

The inadequacy that she may have felt, she placed it in the hands of God.

We were seeking a miracle this week.

At the beginning of the transfer Sister Moli and I made a goal to get 10 people to church for the Christmas service. We knew it would be stretching and it would require a lot of faith.

So, we began working.
Inviting everyone everywhere.
Knocking on doors.
Going up and down the streets of Liverpool for hours.
Sitting by as many people on buses.
We didnt want to miss anyone.

We decided that Friday was going to be a special day.
We were going to fast for this miracle.
We were going to fast for the people.
We so badly wanted to find them.

I have fasted many times before.
But, this time was different.
I have began to recognised that this work means so much more to me than i ever thought it could.
It consumes my soul.

And all i wanted on this day was to find the one.
The one we were sent here for.
The miracle.

All day i was pleading.
And the strength that filled me was not of my own but was of the Father and his Son.
My mind had never been so clear and so focused on our purpose.
Thats when i began to see that heaven was stepping in.

From Sylvester whose eyes lit up as he received his own copy of the Book of Mormon.

To Adrien whose heart is so broken but slowly began to heal as she heard about what Jesus Christ did for her.

And then Alex who met with missionaries in Birmingham but recently moved here and was seeking to find the church again.

And we can't forget the singing man, John, who prayed he could see someone from the church he missed so much that day on the bus.

What about that card we handed to Andrew as he got on the bus. Seeing his message come through saying he wanted to learn more.

All who led to this special moment.

We felt like we needed to go visit this referral. As we walk to their home the spirit was nudging us to knock this single row of houses.
The referral didnt answer so we decided we needed to go back.

We began knocking.
Oh how these peoples stories hurt.
But, the answer to prayer we began to be.
It was truly a moment where i saw Heavenly Father using us as his hands.
He truly needed us in front of each and every one of those houses.

We then approached 48.
The lights were off.
There was no sign of life behind that door.

Soon after as we were about to leave, we heard a window open.
A mother and son.
We expressed that we were teaching people about Jesus Christ.
They instantly closed the window and all the lights began to flip on.
The mother soon opened the door and said

"i want to learn jesus christ, come in."

As we sat down in this humble home they gave us the 2 chairs that filled that empty space.
We began teaching about His birth.

"Jesus was born because he is special."
Said the son.

The spirit filled their home that night.
They wanted Jesus Christ.
Something so new to them.
In that moment in time they experienced joy.

The miracle of the fast.

As Sunday approached our faith was still high.
We knew we needed to continue to expect miracles.
And the miracles came.

It wasnt necessarily the miracle we wrote down on paper.
But,
It was the miracle that we needed.

We had 3 friends at church.
That was a miracle.

I learned that it doesnt matter if there were 100, 10, or 3.
All that mattered in that moment is that 1 was able to experience the Saviour.

His birth and light was celebrated in thay humble chapel.
We all could feel it.
And i felt honored to be apart of it.

My heart was changed this week.

"And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

"And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name."

Her miracles were fulfilled.
Because she had faith in miracles.

And through her we have been given the greatest miracle of all.

Him who makes the impossible possible.

The Saviour of the World.

My spirit rejoices in his name.
And he that is mighty hath done to me great things.

Holy is his name.

Let us celebrate this miracle forever!

I love you!
Merry Christmas!

With love,
Sister B
