My Heart Is Full.
Something i have gained a deep appreciation for is goodbyes.
There's something so special about that final embrace.
Getting to say the words "see you soon."
My mission has been full of goodbyes.
Especially recently.
But no matter how many times i say goodbye, it never gets easier.
About 30 minutes ago i said goodbye to my sweet friend Sister Phelan.
One final embrace. A see you later moment.
My heart aches to see her go.
She is one of my angels that God sent here specifically for me.
There came a full circle moment for us as we got to walk to streets of England together one more time. Doing what we love most.
It was a day of miracles.
There was one more Book of Mormon on our shelf.
I invited her to write down what she felt to be true inside of it.
There was someone waiting for that book with her witness in it. And we were going to do everything possible to find them.
We pleaded with the Lord to lead us.
Everywhere we went we found many.
It seemed to be that every individual we spoke to was interested.
Ashley and his family by that bus stop.
Cris and Bella by the Primary school.
Warren and his Fiance outside of the university.
The nursing students from India by the under path.
Morgan and her friend outside Sainsbury's.
Francie and her husband and sister on that random street.
All of these individuals led us to the one.
Kirsten.
As we were leaving Boughton we prayed that we would know who needed this Book of Mormon. We got this distinct image in our mind of this individual.
Man with glasses.
We started walking.
We felt conflicted because we didnt know where we were going to find him.
It was getting late and dark.
We were far away from where we needed to go.
We didnt have much time.
We prayed.
"Get the bus."
We started walking again.
We found our way to the nearest bus stop and waited. And waited. No bus was coming.
We prayed.
"Wait."
Not much longer i had the strongest impression that we would find this individual on this bus.
As the doors of the bus opened we saw him.
The driver.
A man with glasses.
That was him.
As we got on the bus he let us on for free.
We looked at each other saying,
"Thats him."
As we drove he stopped the bus at a stop and got out of his seat.
He worked his way back to us and began talking to us about what we do.
We started teaching him.
As we pulled up to the station we walked up to him and we shared The Book of Mormon with him. We expressed that he was who we were praying for and how we were led to a
share this with him.
As we handed the book to him he grabbed it and said, "I will cherish this forever."
This is a moment that i will never forget.
As we got off the bus we embraced each other.
And said, "this is joy!"
Every moment of that day was beautiful.
It was just like it was a year ago.
As we walked side by side in a different place.
I love you Sister Phelan.
Thank you for being an angel in my life.
Chester has been pure joy.
I have had so many sacred experinces here that i will cherish forever.
I have found the Saviour here.
But, i will be saying goodbye.
We received transfer news on Saturday and I will be moving to Stoke-on-Trent!
I know that the Lord is blessing me with yet again another opportunity to rely on him.
I'm going to miss Sister Good and Chester so much!
I'm excited for this new place and new people. I know that the Lord needs me there.
I love my Saviour.
Im grateful for the people that have been placed in my path because of Jesus Christ and his gospel.
I am full of joy!
With love,
