"He Did Bring Them Forth Again Upon The Top Of The Waters"

A week of a new beginning! I feel so blessed to have the opportunities i have right now in my mission.
I have been humbled so much this week. I have really been able to see how much i still need to grow to become who the lord needs me to be and i couldnt be more excited to see where the Lord is going to lead me!

As much as i have been humbled this week i have really been able to see how far i have come. I love who i am becoming.

My heart has been so touched and i truly havent found this much joy in the work in a long time.

We messaged Jon, the man whos mom just passed away that we met on the bus, and he invited us over to come teach him and his wife, Nikki. As we walked into their beautiful home the spirit was so strong. As we began teaching them how to pray they began to recognise how much God has blessed them and has been so present in their lives. Later on that night he gave us a ring and told us that they sat down their 3 boys and asked them if they wanted to join in on this journey, and their 18 year old son said yes! This family is so strong. I feel so blessed to be apart of their journey to coming to find him. Its never too late to see him and to bring others with you. That is what jon and nikki have taught me! All because of that one bus ride that one day this family will be able to be together forever.

We were walking to town one day and we saw this man in the distance, we knew we needed to talk to him. His long hair and tattooed face and dirty clothes were what we saw. But as we began talking to him we began to see what he was seeking inside. We asked him when the last time he prayed was and he said he has never prayed. Stubborn at first but slowly we started to see his heart become soft.
He asked if we could show him the church so we walked together and we start to get to know him. His story is so sad. The pain in his heart is so present. But, as he walked into the doors of the church he began to feel that god was reaching out to him.
He said he would give god 1 month to help him. And over the last 5 days he has already see hod manifest himself as he prays to him everyday.
Come to find out his mom that passed away was a member. As he was going through her thinfs he found her book of mormon.
After coming to church on sunday he could help but smile as he said, "Thank you 3 angels who approached me I appreciate what you're doing, I need this."
Aaron has changed my perspective on everything. No matter the trial or tragedy. The mistake or sorrow. There is nothing that takes away that perfect love that god has for you.

As i listen to the aches of my beautiful friends i begin to remember my own. Those moments where i couldnt see where my life was going. The times where i was just running i circles. Those times are hard. And for me they are the hardest times to see god hand extended out.
The story of the Jaredites has always been so comforting to me.

"And it came to pass that the Lord God caused that there should be a furious wind blow upon the face of the waters, towards the promised land; and thus they were tossed upon the waves of the sea before the wind.
And it came to pass that they were many times buried in the depths of the sea, because of the mountain waves which broke upon them, and also the great and terrible tempests which were caused by the fierceness of the wind.
therefore when they were encompassed about by many waters
they did cry unto the Lord,
and he did bring them forth again upon the top of the waters.
And they did land upon the shore of the promised land. And when they had set their feet upon the shores of the promised land they bowed themselves down upon the face of the land, and did humble themselves before the Lord, and did shed tears of joy before the Lord, because of the multitude of his tender mercies over them."

They couldve just coasted. But then they wouldve never reached the promise land. The only way to cross the ocean is to be pushed across. It is the only way you can find god and what he has has prepared for you. In the end it is always worth it.
The winds of life can we hard. It can be scary.
But, let us never cease to pray and thank god for the mighty winds of life.
It is through the winds that we continue in the path to find our Saviour.

With love,
Sister B.
