GOD LOVES!!!!

HIYA HIYA!!!
Wow the weeks just keep getting faster and faster I can't believe it! WELCOME TO DECEMBER! In England we've been celebrating Christmas since November and I wouldn't want it any other way! I'm glad all my American peeps are up to speed now!
Send me fun things you are doing for the holiday season this year! I would love to hear about it!

So many ups and downs this week but as I'm able to reflect on the miracles of the week I am so humbled! The lord truly works with all of the effort I put in each day. He truly magnifies my offerings. I have really felt the burning of the refiners fire this week and at moments the fire gets really hot and I want to step away or I question why does it have to hurt sometimes? But those are the moments where I am able to have the greatest conversation with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Those moments where I get to plead on my knees for strength and help. And instantly they lift me up and carry me along!
I'm so proud of myself. I have come so far. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are proud of me too. It's taken me a long time to see that, but I so glad to have that knowledge!

Here are the Stockport miracles of the week!

The miracle of the raking!
During our weekly planning session we felt inspired to set a day aside to rake leaves in one of our friend Jesse's garden. He has extremely bad arthritis and so the cold weather makes it act up which has made it super difficult for him to do his leaves. We were excited and looked forward to giving him service. The day came to doing his leaves and the schedule started getting a off track because travel time from our ZC follow up to his house took a lot longer than we expected. We still decided to go and I am so glad we did. With the amount of leaves he had it took us about 2 hours to get it to a manageable state. We were happy with the progress we made and knew we would be able to finish the last 2 piles another day, because we had to leave for a lesson with a friend. When Jesse got home he instantly called us and was in disbelief of how amazing his garden looked and more impressed was his daughter, Tracy. In Tracy's amazement and gratitude she told us that she would be attending the ward Christmas party with her 2 kids, Angel and Ralph! We have been wanting to get to know her family so bad! Because we decided to sacrifice our time and strength we got to meet Jesse's daughter at the Christmas party! THEY LOVED THE CHRISTMAS PARTY, in fact they didn't want to leave! They are coming to church next Sunday! God works in such intricate ways. He knew our desires to meet this family and he made it happen through such a mysterious way. He is so aware of each of his children! I'm so excited to see where our progress goes with this family!

The gray dots pullin out a miracle!
Because of the amount of lessons we have had we haven't had much time to go out and find. So, this week we made a goal to call gray dots one of the days. After a long day we sat down as a companionship and began to call! We felt like we needed to call this referral, named Rahel, we got awhile ago! And to our surprise she answered and said, "Yes! I can meet tomorrow!" We were so happy! Rahel just moved here from Ethiopia 3 months ago and she is so ready to learn the gospel! Her lesson went well and she was able to make it to church yesterday! I'm so happy we set that time aside to call dots! The Lord knew what we were offering him that day and it was in our efforts that he blessed us with this miracle!

Spiritual thought:
Today marks a year that one of my best friends, Peyt, finished his mission here on earth.
Here are 3 things that Peyt taught me...
1) Everyone is your friend, and you treat them that way! Everyone belongs!
2) We have to make the most of every moment!
3) Smile! Smile everywhere you go!

I love Peyt. Peyt is one of the greatest blessings God has placed in my path. Peyt came into my life when I needed a solid friend the most. He never left my side! He stuck up for me always! He listened the best! And he always humbled me in pickleball haha (Everyone would say the same)
I miss him everyday and to be so honest this has been the hardest thing I have ever had to go through in my life. Losing that person in your life that means so much to you is the hardest thing to wrap your head around. There have been so many moments over this last year where I gave up on God. I didn't get it and to be so honest I still don't understand why.
But, the hard times are the times you are able to grow the strongest.
I'm so grateful for the Plan of Salvation. I'm so grateful I'll be able to hug my sweet friend again. I'm so grateful I get to teach this principle everyday and bring people that truth to their aching hearts!
The plan of salvation is the greatest blessing!
I'm so grateful for the atonement. Without the power of the atonement I wouldn't be here on my mission. It's through the atonement that I'm able to see peoples lives change! The atonement heals! The atonement is love! The atonement is the greatest gift!

This is what Peyt taught me. The most valuable principles. I love you Peyt! See you in a little bit!

I'm so grateful for all of you. Thank you for your support and the kind messages every week. This time of year is super bittersweet on the mission and it can be hard because I have major FOMO of all my moms fun Christmas activities oh yes and my dad's stellar cooking haha but hug my mom extra tight for me!! I love you all! Have a wonderful week!

With loads of love and hugs,
Sister B.
