Miracles On The Streets Of England!

HIYA LOVES!

AHHHH I'm so so so excited to share with all of you the miracles I was able to witness this week! The lord loves his missionaries and he loves the people of Stockport! I'm coming off this last week feeling so blessed and also so tired haha. I said to my comp the other day, "Sister I hate saying this but I love getting to listen to prayers because it's a short moment where I get to close my eyes." It's the truth. Mission sleep is the best and shortest sleep of your life. But truly I am so grateful I get to wake up everyday and do the lords work!

Here are my top tender mercies on the streets of England this week!

10/18/23

Eze: met him at the town centre. He has a family of 4. He saw us at the bus stop on sunday and remembered us. Grateful for following the spirit and making a turn that allowed us to meet up with him. God doesnt forget the one.

Clay: sitting on a bench smoking a cigarette by himself. I felt like we needed to talk to him. We hiked up to the bench and bore testimony of gods love for him. By the end of the converstation he said, "I think we met for a reason." Clay is ready for something more. God wants him to know how much he is loved. God remembers the one.

Roxana: Rememeber the sweet gal from Peru that showed up to church alone. We got to teach her about the book of mormon this week! Despite the language barrier we were able to teach her using google translate conversations. It makes sense for her. She wants to learn more. She finally found what will help her during this time of struggle and confusion. She loves god and her faith has strengthened my testimony. I feel so blessed that i get to teach her. God loves her. God helps in all the details.

10/19/23

Jesse: we set the goal to get one contact in 30 min on the way to have lunch with lawrence. We did it. Jesse was sitting on a bench next to lawrence drinking his hot coffee. After introducing myself to lawrence and as we start to walk away he says, "sorry i dont mean to interupt but are you guys nuns?" We answered with excitment exclaiming no! After getting to know jesse he gave us his number and address! The miracle 30 minutes. God makes goals happen.

10/20/23

Brian: In the pouring rain brian was making his way to the pub in edgely. We felt like we needed to stop him. What we thought would be a short interaction turned into a 30 min converstation about why we do what we do as missionaries. He was so intrigued. He told us, "sisters i havent ever been baptized, and despite my age i want to get baptized!"

We exclamed with joy, YES WE CAN MAKE THAT HAPPEN FOR YOU!! We are grateful for people like brian who remind us why we need to do the lords work! God send people to us to help us too.

Spiritual thought:

This week I really have been studying the gift of the holy ghost! I feel like the mission spirit sounds so different than just day to day Bella spirit. And I have really had a hard time trying to find it. BUT!!! I FOUND IT!!! IT FINALLY CLICKED!!

My comp and I watched this devotional by Loren Dalton called, "You are receiving personal revelation---ACT NOW!"

This changed my whole perspective on the spirit.

One of the points that stood out to me the most was GOD DOESNT USE LOGIC, SATAN DOES!

It's so true! How many times do we get a prompting that is so odd and doesn't make sense? All the time. But then the thought is followed by, "No that doesn't make sense! Why would I do that?"

The voice of the spirit is constant. The spirit is constantly prompting us. ACT ON IT! DON'T WAIT JUST DO! Don't let the logic of Satan get in the way.

Acting even when it doesn't make sense lead to miracles. Trusting in knowing that we did what God wanted is all we need, we don't always get to see the end of the story.

So, I invite you to listen with open ears this week. Listen to what the spirit is trying to tell you. You can make miracles happen! DONT MISS OUT!

This week definitely had its hard moment. For the first time I got bashed for what I believe. During this moment where this man was telling me horrible things it really opened my eyes. I pondered on this interaction. I came to the conclusion that no matter what anyone says to me I can't deny what I believe. It's situations like the ones above that shows that there's a God. God loves individual. God is a personal God. God loves all, even the ones that don't choose him. My love for the people is growing and at moments I feel the godly sorrow of those who choose different (1 Nephi 19:9). But I'm grateful for a savior that understands me. He knows how I feel. He knows how to help me perfectly. I have been able to feel that this week more than I ever have in my whole life! Seek him! He loves you!

I love you all so much! Feel free to reached out! You're all in my prayers always!

With so much love & gratitude,

Sister B.
